The District Student Council acts as an alliance to: unite the three colleges; provide district-wide student leadership; render service; provide the public with a better understanding of district issues; and maintain friendly relations with others.

2025-2026 Application for Student Trustee

About the Student Trustee Position:

Term of Office: June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026

Basic Requirements:

• Qualified candidates applying for the position of Student Trustee must be enrolled at one college in the District as of February 17, 2025.
• 2.0 cumulative GPA prior to appointment and during term of office
• Enrollment in, and completion of 5 units of Coast coursework in both fall and spring semester during term of office
• At least 18 years of age

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Attend ALL Board of Trustee meetings to provide student perspective for the entire Coast District
• Chair the District Student Council
• Have a key role in organizing Student Advocacy Day
